BRIEF HISTORY

The school was founded in September 1982 and is situated south of the Zebilla Township in the suburban community of Teogo.

The school serves a wide catchment area, with twenty-four (24) junior high schools located throughout the Bawku West District’s six circuits.

The school was given a 600 square metre plot of land. The status of the facilities and the institution

In September 2007, the community day school transformed into a boarding school. Due to the fact that more and more of its students are from farther away, it has temporary buildings that are utilised as dorms. Students from within the district are unable to attend from home, despite the district’s physical layout. As a result, they are forced to remain in the makeshift buildings that function as dormitories.

MAJOR ACHIEVEMENTS OVER THE YEARS

The school has sent candidates for the Senior Secondary Certificate Examinations (SSCE) over the years, and a very high pass rate has been achieved. The school submitted candidates for the last two SSCEs, and both of them received 100%. The school kept up its strong academic performance, earning 99% and 100% passes, respectively, in the final two years of the West African Senior Secondary Certificate Examinations (2008 & 2009).

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) named the school the most ecologically responsible school in the area in 2008.
